Note | Verbal family history says Anna Isabel Dunning was half-Blackfoot Indian |
Note | It seems that Anna was married before she married John. The reason for this statement is that her name, as listed on the marriage license, was Anna Isabel Smith. We have been unable to loc5her first marriage license. Anna also supposedly had a daughter named Rose by George Smith. John w0not allow Rose to live under his roof. John told his son Charles that " your mother was the best woman I ever knew". |
Note | Son Charles said his mother kept their house clean. The house they were living in when she died was a log home with a packed dirt floor. Charles said she swept the floor every day and got onto anyone who dropped anything an the floor. |
